The Grand Hotel Royal e Golf dates back to 1854 and in its centenary lifetime it has hosted some illustrious personalities, including the Queen of Italy Margherita of Savoy, in honour of whom the name “Royal” was given to the hotel. A lover of nature and the silence of the vast valleys, the Sovereign used to spend lengthy periods in the Hotel with her courtiers.
