The well-known building has been beautifully renovated to house 50 fully equipped serviced apartments, with options to accommodate from one to six guests. Each apartment seamlessly incorporates the building’s historic roots with slick contemporary design, and the interior décor has been intricately chosen to enhance authentic features including original dark wood panelling, fireplaces, brass door handles and decorative cornicing.

THE DIRECTORS' SUITE
A suite with a difference, this is where the decision to stay will most definitely be met with board approval. Following the footprint of the original bank’s board of directors’ dining room, this is a space that ticks all the boxes.
At one end you’ll find a fully equipped spacious kitchen leading to a lounge area, offering comfortable days of relaxation on sofas and armchairs with footstools, thoughtfully placed in front of the large flat-screen TV. Period features, including original fireplaces and gold accent wood panelling, which add to the gentrified atmosphere of the space, offset by some seriously contemporary detailing throughout.
The middle of the apartment houses a large table that seats ten guests and is perfect for nights dedicated to showing off your culinary skills. And when all that gets just a little bit too much, you’re only a hop and skip away from a set of double doors that lead into the large cognac wood-panelled Master Bedroom with king-size bed. Tucked behind the bed is an artfully designed space, where a deep bathtub waits, alongside all the bathroom paraphernalia needed, including luxe Malin + Goetz toiletries.
THREE BEDROOM PENTHOUSE
Nothing says Penthouse like the top floor of a celebrated art deco building in the centre of Edinburgh. Completely reconfigured from the original build, the space has been renovated to offer three super king bedrooms, each with stunning en-suite bathroom, contemporary technology and a floor-to-ceiling glazed wall meaning you won’t miss out on the view.
Entering through a spacious corridor where long horizontal windows have been cleverly designed to showcase Edinburgh from a different vantage point, the apartment opens onto an expansive kitchen, living and dining area. Set against an immense glass backdrop, the space boasts some seriously major panoramas, across the city to Arthur’s Seat, the Firth of Forth and beyond.
Necessities such as dishwasher, fridge freezer and washer dryer are all elegantly encased in designer cabinets, whilst the kitchen island and breakfast bar, make a contemporary statement. The stunning glass, circular table with seating for eight, offers the perfect place to gather, as does the arrangement of comfy seating complete with corner sofa.
And to top it off, step from the luxury of your indoor space to a more-than-worthy outdoor roof terrace. We’re talking a giant wrap-around space with ample room for al fresco dining, lounging and general hobnobbing at lofty heights.
