Tamuda Bay is about 10 miles from the city of Tetouan, 40 miles east of Tangiers, so it’s an easy trip over from Spain or the rest of Europe. The resort is part of an upscale enclave that celebrates indigenous design and natural beauty.
Set along the sea, the resort features world class luxury leisure amenities including luxury pool villas, spa, several pools, a private beach club, a yachting and fishing marina, small retail village and 18-hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. The Ritz-Carlton Tamuda Bay will feature 129 hotel rooms & suites, 100 golf villas, 40 hillside villas & 90 waterfront apartments. The aesthetic takes traditional Moroccan architecture as its inspiration, with villas and public spaces clustered around intimate courtyards that provide an overall feeling of privacy and exclusivity.
Inspired by the concept of an oasis, Tamuda bay is situated on a low-lying wetlands sanctuary on the north western coast of Morocco, home to a plethora of North African migratory birds.
Scape were appointed to develop the Masterplan vision alongside WATG and commissioned through to Detail Design & infrastructure of all external areas. Sited on the elevated hillside overlooking the new golf landscape, the design combines indigenous species and contemporary Moroccan style, offering unique recreational experiences.
