Hotel Astoria, St Petersburg, Russia
The star of St Isaac’s Square
An unequalled location in the centre of the city. A vista of St Isaac’s Cathedral. A walk to the Mariinsky Theatre, to the Hermitage. A grand exterior, gorgeous interior and intimate atmosphere. An illustrious afternoon tea at Rotunda Lounge. Hotel Astoria’s story is St Petersburg’s: the witness to its biggest events; host to its greatest guests, from royals and writers to rock stars; still the only place from which to see – and be seen in – it.
Theatre, glamour and a century of regal history at one address
Built between 1911 and 1912, the Hotel Astoria was designed by renowned St Petersburg architect Fyodor Lidval. Historically the most famous hotel in the city, and a key St Petersburg landmark, our building is now Grade 1 listed.
